What I know
I've been researching the FAIN family, including 4 brothers, Isaac Reaves, Thomas D., Charles Franklin and Wiley William. They were all born in Johnson County, IL in early 1800s to Jesse FAIN and Nancy Doyle. My brickwall is anything beyond Jesse or Nancy. I've got tons of source documents and records on the FAINs, starting with Jesse on down, but am always looking for more.

Jesse Fain's first wife is Annis Nobel, still working dates
That's not correct. The Jesse Fain that married Annie Nobel moved to Alabama. While they may have been cousins, they are not the same Jesse Fain.
Great grandfather was Isaac Reaves FAIN; his father was recorded as Jesse Fain and Nancy Doil. Isaac was a minister, as two of his brothers. A cousin at one time had family bible, believed Isaac's. and its no where to be found., but it had data wrote in it. Isaac was married four times., Catherine E.BOWMAN; Lucinda Josephine KNIGHT: WILLIAMS., MRS. KIRKINDALL and Sarah Margarette LEIGH: THOMAS.,PERRY. All were in Mo.,
William Thomas Fain (1859-1918) was one of the sons of Rev Isaac Reaves Fain and Catherine Bowman.
I have documentation and photos for his descendants.
